About the programme
IPB Pride of Place in association with Co-operation Ireland is an all-island competition that acknowledges the work that communities are doing all over the island of Ireland. The competition focus is about people coming together to shape, change and improve daily lives in their communities.
How it works
Since its launch in 2003, the competition has reached hundreds of thousands of people, celebrating the deep sense of pride they have in their local areas.
Communities showcase this pride directly to the judges through engaging presentations that highlight their activities, culture, achievements, and the many elements that make their place unique.
A key element of the competition is the strength of partnership between communities and their local authorities. Entries must demonstrate genuine collaboration and inclusive involvement across all sectors of the community—reflecting a shared commitment to creating vibrant, resilient places to live.
